Former Pella Christian All-State basketball player Eric Mulder is three games into his freshman basketball career at Purdue University Fort Wayne and has seen his role on the team increase in each game so far this season.
Mulder and Purdue Fort Wayne opened the season on the road at the University of Michigan, and the freshman scored four points and pulled down five rebounds in 13 minutes in the Mastodons’ 75-56 loss. After having just two points and three rebounds in nine minutes of Purdue Fort Wayne’s 81-76 win over SIUE, Mulder posted new career best marks against Manchester. The freshman scored 15 points on 6-10 shooting, grabbed seven rebounds, and recorded his first steal in the Mastodons’ 111-31 thrashing of Manchester. On the season as a whole, Mulder has 21 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, a block, and a steal.
Mulder and Purdue Fort Wayne next game is a part of the Cancun Challenge in Mexico. The Mastodons’ first game in Cancun is Friday against Northwestern University at 8 p.m. (Eastern Time) and can be watched live on the Big 10+ Network.
