Enrollment is up for the Indianola School District for the 2022-23 school year, despite a large senior class graduating in spring of 2022. Superintendent Ted Ihns tells KNIA News numbers are up even though the kindergarten class coming in this year wasn’t as large as the graduating class.
“Fortunately our numbers overall are up, within the district we are down. We have greater numbers of open enrollment coming in than going out, so that’s what makes our enrollment different than last year. We have less students in the district this year, but we had the larger graduating class, but we now have more students choosing to attend the Indianola School District than their current home district.”
