The Pleasantville Girls Basketball Squad played tough defense and led from start to finish over Twin Cedars 35-22 in an all-Marion County battle. The Trojans jumped out to an 8-0 lead and when not turning over the Sabers, Pleasantville was allowing just one shot early on. The Trojans held a 14-6 halftime lead, but the Sabers pulled to within one point late in the 3d quarter before Pleasantville was able to get the game under control. Azell Smith led all scorers for the Trojans with 13 points. Rylee Dunkin led the Sabers with seven points and Kisha Reed scored six. Pleasantville is 3-1 on the season and will host class 1A #13 Earlham tonight. Twin Cedars is now 2-1 on the season and will host Murray along with the boys tonight.
