Re-elected State Senator Julian Garrett has received his committee assignments for the upcoming legislative session that begins in January. Garrett will serve as Chair of the Justice Systems Subcommittee, which controls the budget for a large portion of the state’s operating budget including law enforcement and prisons. Garrett will also serve as Vice Chair of the Judiciary Committee, the Appropriations Committee, Health and Human Services Committee, and the Education Committee. The 2023 session begins January 9th.
