The Marion County Fair Association held their annual Fair Board Election Monday evening. The top eight in votes were named to three-year terms on the board, while the next two will serve one-year terms on the board.
Named to three-year terms were Jim Baker, Jimbob Darnell, Kevin DeLong, Bob Riggen, Randy Shives, Kirn Stevenson, Art Worrall and Kyle Kingery. Mike Jones and Andy Shives were elected to one-year fair board terms.
Kingery, Jones and Andy Shives are all new members named to the board.
Knoxville Raceway General Manager Jason Reed tells KNIA/KRLS News about the election, “We did get three new members, plus the seven incumbents we had on there. Kyle Kingery got the three-year term. Then Mike Jones and Andy Shives both are going to fill the one-year term.”
Named as officers for next year are Bob Roush as Fair Board President, Dustin DeMoss as Vice President, Brian Bailey as Treasurer and Jim Baker as Secretary.
The next Fair Board meeting is slated for January 2 at 6:30 p.m.
