The Norwalk bowling teams and the girls wrestling team competed on Tuesday, including a pair of dual wins for the bowlers at Air Lanes Bowling Center in Des Moines.

The Warrior girls out-rolled Creston by a final score of 2000-1388 and the boys won 2510-2140, both improving to 2-1 on the season.

Top two-game series scores for the Norwalk girls included Julia Palen with a 308, Elivia Stout 281, Ellery Racz 279 and Addy Nielsen 272. Palen’s 160 was the top individual game and the team averaged a 127.8 in Baker Games.

The Warrior boys were led by Emerson Fels with a series score of 360, Andrew Winfrey 350, Jaxson Swift 344, Tanner Housley 331 and Tyler Peterson 308. Housley, a freshman, rolled a 222 for the top game of the day and Winfrey had a 210. The Warriors averaged a 163.4 in Baker Games.

The Norwalk girls wrestlers hosted an eight-team tournament Tuesday and had four individuals place first. Laura Lefluer, Katie Liedtke, Masie Silvius and Madeline Benge all went 2-0 on the night and combined for seven wins by fall. Isabel Evans and Kaylie Popiano both placed second in their weight class, going 1-1 with a pin.

The Warrior girls wrestling team will return to action Saturday at the Ankeny Centennial Tournament at 9:00 a.m. The bowling teams travel to Oskaloosa on Saturday for a dual meet at noon.
