The Indianola City Council received an update from new Indianola Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Amanda Zwanziger about the direction of the chamber and the relationship between the city and the chamber. City Manager Ben Reeves tells KNIA News the city contributes funding for the chamber each year, and he is excited about their direction.

“As far as the community is concerned, we know we need to support the chamber and support our local businesses. Having a vision and a plan to take us to the next level is exactly what we need at this time. So I know our council is looking at the funding we contribute to the chamber, and since there is a solid plan and a vision that funding is likely to increase for that very reason.”
