After a 44-year career at Pella Cooperative Electric Association, Office Manager Sue Warrick is retiring December 30, 2022.

Sue joined the Cooperative in October 1978 as a secretary and has since grown into her current role as the office manager. She has seen the Cooperative through many growths and changes including the erection of a new office and shop as well as growth within the service territory.

“I’ve really appreciated all the wonderful years that have flown by,” said Sue. “I’ve been blessed to work with some amazing people and a great membership.”

CEO Doug Stewart has worked with Sue for the past 10 years and says he is excited to celebrate her retirement but says she will be truly missed at the Cooperative.

“I want to congratulate Sue on an exceptional career at Pella Cooperative Electric,” remarked Stewart. “Her hard work, loyalty, and dedication to the membership will be greatly missed.”

According to PCEA Board President Duane Ver Ploeg, Sue has been a key driver in the customer service at the Cooperative as well as her commitment to the mission, vision, and values across her 44-year career.

“I want to sincerely thank Sue for her service to the PCEA membership,” said Ver Ploeg. “She has been an integral part of the REC and her contributions will always be valued and remembered.”
