The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, recently removed numerous dead ash trees from recreation areas at Lake Red Rock. Wood from the trees is available to the public, free of charge, with a permit.

Permit applications can be obtained in-person at the Red Rock Visitor Center, Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., or online at www.lakeredrock.org.
