Knoxville City Street Superintendent Eric Caviness took over being in charge of the city streets back in late summer. Caviness realizes the job isn’t an easy one, when dealing with winter weather and having to make calls as when to send trucks out on the city streets during snow events.
According to Caviness he gets advice from the Knoxville Police Chief Aaron Fuller and from Knoxville Fire Chief Cal Wyman.
Caviness tells KNIA/KRLS News that the city uses five large trucks for five snow routes in town as well as a loader used on the square along with a pickup. The rest of the equipment Caviness has at his disposal is three to five pickups that are used on the streets.
