It’s not uncommon to get sick in the winter time. Many of the illnesses going around include RSV, Flu, COVID and the common cold. Judi Van Hulzen, a nurse at Marion County Public Health strongly recommends getting the flu shot.
Van Hulzen adds, “Right now is the time RSV should be decreasing and flu and COVID are increasing.”
To stop the spread of some diseases she mentions covering the cough and washing your hands well. She says get your hands wet then put on the soap, then scrub with warm water for at least 20 seconds.
