Trojan Wrestlers win BGM Triangular going 3-0
Coach Heath DeForest’s Pleasantville wrestling team picked up where they left off before the holiday break. The Trojans won all three matches Thursday evening in Brooklyn by beating the Colfax-Mingo Tiger-Hawks 62-18, the host team BGM Bears 63-18 and Montezuma Braves 72-12.
The Trojans were the only team with a full lineup. Pleasantville had five pins, two major decisions and four forfeits issued to them in the match against Colfax-Mingo. The pins were all in the first period as Carson Ammons, Blake Rowson, Caleb Cook, Carter Metcalf and Dillen Ammons all had pins for PHS.
Trevor Nickel had a 14-3 major decision win and Charlie Hare had a 12-3 win for the Trojans.
In the 63-18 victory over BGM the Trojans had three pins and one decision to go with seven forfeits. The pins were by Carson Ammons, Paul Gasparovich and Nickel. Caleb Cook added a 6-0 win at 132 pounds.
Montezuma couldn’t keep up with the Trojans falling 72-12. Pleasantville had two pins, Tyler Gibson and Dillen Ammons. Toss in 10 forfeits and it was a quick match.

Pleasantville will wrestle Saturday at the PCM Invite Saturday in Monroe starting at 9 am.
Pleasantville Girls Wrestle at Nevada
The Pleasantville girls wrestling team competed Thursday at the Nevada Round Robin Tournament. Cassie Milner was second for the Trojans at 130 pounds going 1-1. Brooke Smith, Addie Koenig and Maggie Gasparovich were all third place and Madilyn Rowson and Ella Clark were fourth for the Trojans.
