The City of Indianola has made it a priority for the construction of any new city hall, public safety, or library buildings to have a net increase of parking on or near the downtown square. City Manager Ben Reeves tells KNIA News the city is brainstorming ways to make more parking spots available wherever they can.
“This really opens the door to a more systemic problem, we need more parking on the square for not only patrons of businesses but city and county employees. So as the city is designing its new city hall we are looking to create a net positive in the number of parking spaces that we provide and more green space closer to the square and trying to put a great package together that really bolsters our business community.”
