Marion County Bank donated just under $3,000 to the two schools for the first of their “Bucks for Baskets” Halftime Basketball Shootouts at Friday’s Pella vs. Pella Christian basketball games.

Students from Pella Schools and Pella Christian Schools shot hoops to earn money for their student activity funds. The total raised Friday — $2,925, will be split between the two schools. Since 2010, Marion County Bank has donated over $115,000 through this event for the Dutch and Eagles.

The next two events will be:
–January 17: Davis County vs Knoxville @ Knoxville High School
–February 3: PC vs Pella @ Pella High School
