In what Coach Sarah Patterson is calling a “tune-up meet,” the NCMP swimmers with Newton and Pella returned to action in Waterloo Saturday. The group of boys swimmers placed 3rd in their first competition since December 19th.

The 200 freestyle relay team of Finn Martin, Clay Lamb, Brady Comer, and Eli Eekhoff set a new meet record mark, as did the 400 freestyle relay team of Eli, Clay, MacK Copeland, and Finn. The squad of Drew Fuller, Brady Comer, Eli Eekhoff, and Ethan Comer smashed their seed time in the 200 medley relay as well.

Mason Gaulke did well in the 200 IM, posting a personal best time and placing 3rd.

Eekhoff was the team’s top finish in the 100 freestyle with a 52.84, good for 5th place. Drew Fuller placed 5th in the 100 backstroke with a season best time of 1:06.64.
