The Knoxville Cancer Relay Team ran over 750 miles this past fall to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

The 20 plus team members raised a total of $23,400. Natalie Collins, a Knoxville High School student was the top fundraiser for the group bringing in over $3,000.

Pat Finan, a member of the relay team and a spokesperson for the group told KNIA/KRLS News, “We were thrilled to get the amount of $23,400 for the American Cancer Society. That brings our nine year total to about $188,000. That’s pretty phenomenal for us.”

With next year being the tenth year for the Cancer Relay Team, plans are underway to make some changes.
