Knoxville Police Chief Aaron Fuller announced that his department handled over 9,000 calls in 2022, which was down compared to the year before.
According to Fuller his officers may be doing less work, but he adds that is their goal. He said we don’t want any crime in Knoxville.
Fuller noted his department had an 18 percent increase in calls for service, such as funeral escorts, car unlocks, welfare checks, etc.
The department leadership consists of Chief Fuller, two lieutenants, How and Derby and two sergeants, Verros and Rowland.
