A round of overnight rain and heavy snow may cause some travel issues this morning, according to the National Weather Service. Many locations received between a 1/4″ to 1/2″ of rainfall before the transition to winter precipitation. A brief cooldown will see wind chills drop to the single digits by Friday morning, before a rebound with highs approaching and topping 40 again by this weekend.
