A winter storm warning is in place for a late season system impacting south central Iowa. By the end of the precipitation this evening, most of the region is likely to receive 3-5 inches of snow, with higher totals a possibility in some locations. Travel is expected to be dangerous today, especially as wind gusts approach 30 to 35 MPH.
