Carter Failor finished 17th, Taylor Walker finished 26th for Pella

A pair of Pella High School bowlers are heading to the Class 2A state individual tournaments today in Waterloo, and are hopeful not only for a strong showing for themselves, but to grow the program in the process.

Carter Failor and Taylor Walker have earned bids respectively to the boys and girls Class 2A meets. Walker is the first ever Pella High School girl to join the state’s best since the program started in 2016, while Failor is a freshman who has approached several school records, and broke the high mark for a three-game score at the Two Rivers Conference meet earlier this month.
