The Indianola boys basketball team begins their postseason journey tonight, hosting the Lions of Linn-Mar. The Indians are ranked #5 in class 4A, and will have home court advantage if they keep winning on the path to Wells Fargo Arena, and will attempt to get further than last year’s finish in the same round as tonight.
The Indians are scoring over 66 points per game, while the Lions are only putting up 58, however Linn-Mar plays in the competitive Mississippi Valley that includes #1 Cedar Rapids Kennedy, Dubuque Senior, and Waterloo West. Head coach Jeff Ebling said this group has talked about leaving things unfinished after an early exit last year, and they want to prove that they can play with the best in the state.
The game will be broadcast live on 94.3 KNIA in addition to the Indianola Activities YouTube stream, with Andrew Swadner and Rob Hawkins on the play-by-play. Pregame coverage begins at 6:30pm, with tip-off at 7.
