The Knoxville Wrestling Squad came away from this season getting five wrestlers to the State Meet, with one placing, which was Luke Spaur in 4th place at 138 pounds. The other four, while not achieving their goals of getting on the podium, got a taste of the State Meet and for the ones that will return next season, Coach Skylar Spaur says will hopefully make them more motivated to get back next season.

Spaur: “Wayne and Luke did a good job of getting everyone to wrestle. I know some of our guys Dan, and Chaz didn’t reach their goal of getting on the podium, but hopefully that makes them hungry for next year.”

Besides Spaur, Chaz Graves, Wayne Johnston, Daniel Gorskikh, and Trenton Kingery made the state meet. Graves and Gorskikh will return with Johnston, Spaur, and Kingery graduating.
