The Indianola Community School District is currently in the process of reviewing the district brand, and creating a consistent logo that will be used throughout the schools. Superintendent Ted Ihns tells KNIA News the process will include a committee that will have students, staff, families, and community members that will discuss what they want to see in the secondary logos, review options from professional designers, and submit a recommendation to the Indianola School Board. Ihns said a big reason for the change was consistency.
“If you look at our colors, we have five, six, seven types of purple, yellow, and gold. What we really want to do is when we order uniforms, we order colors for paper or stationery and things like that, we want to be consistent throughout. That was one of the things that we talked about, most school districts our size and in our area have a style guide of do’s and don’ts, and that’s what we are trying to do with this process.”
