The Marion County Economic Development Quarterly Meeting was held last Friday morning.

Carla Eysink, Marion County Economic Development Director tells KNIA/KRLS News there were two main presentations, one by Jon Berg with the Department of Cultural Affairs talking about Iowa Great Places and how to apply for their grant programs.

The other presentation was by Caleb Knutson with Mid-Iowa Planning Alliance discussing the Regional Economic Development District and their grants and research for state and federal aid.

Eysink also gave an update on the various programs the Marion County Development Commission currently has, going from the Best of Red Rock Awards to Red Rock Leadership Class and much more. 

The next quarterly meeting is slated for Friday, June 2 at 9 a.m. at a location to be determined.
