There are only nine girls out for Twin Cedars Track and Field this spring. However…Coach Cam Parker is determined to have the Sabers competitive and looking for state meet bids to the Blue Oval in May. Parker tells KNIA/KRLS Sports of the nine…several are young and a few have never gone out for track and field…
Parker: “And of that 9 I think there are just 3 that return from last season. We have several young girls who have never done track and field so I’m interested to see what they can do.”
Of those three returners is arguably one of the greatest athletes in Twin Cedars history, Rylee Dunkin. Dunkin is aiming for her 4th State Meet appearance and Parker says her versatility will be key in scoring points. The Sabers first outdoor meet is scheduled to March 28th at Belle Plaine.
