Throughout the season, the Knoxville Boys Track and Field Squad will be experimenting with relay line ups and who is able to perform well in various events. Coach Eric Kellar is already penciling in some events for the conference meet, but he wants to see some of the younger runners and throwers and what they can do. He adds the middle distance runners are the most challenging due to depth in those events.
Kellar: “The mid distance guys are tricky, and only 2 can run the 800, and we may have 4. Koby and Kaiden will run the highs and Koby the high jump. We’ll get a better idea when we have some meets.”
Kellar hopes that the weather cooperates this year as las season, they went nearly the first month and only got one meet in, due to abnormally cold and rainy weather in April. The Panthers first outdoor meet is scheduled for March 28th at Pella Christian.
