The Marion County Extension Office will be holding a babysitting basic class Thursday, March 16th from 9am-3pm at the Marion County Extension Office.

The event is open to youth in grades 4th grade – 8th grade. Youth will learn basics for caring for infants and up.

Ashtin Wells, 4-H County Youth Coordinator tells KNIA/KRLS News, “So, Babysitting Basic is a really cool program especially for those kids that maybe are looking to do that for summer. Make a little extra income. Of course it will kind of give you just a basic infant care toddler, you’ll get to change the baby and make bottles, you will learn about toys and what is the age appropriate toy.”

The Marion County Extension Office will cover feeding, changing, appropriate toys and more. Cost for the class will be $15 per 4-H Member and $20 per nonmember.
