A new book has been published regarding the history of the Southeast Warren High School wrestling program from Milo author Ryan Boozell, who wrote the book Short Time. Boozell tells KNIA News the book features a brief history of Southeast Warren High School, and the program as it goes through the 80’s and 90’s, including state champions and teammates of Boozell. Boozell said going back and discussing the stories of the wrestlers and coaches continued to bring back one common theme, they all learned to work hard and achieve success partly through the wrestling program.

“You got out of something what you put into it. So they put in the work to cut the weight, to be in shape, to have the physical aspects to go out and wrestle, and have the knowledge of the sport. It was all basically all about they work that they put in, and they all agreed their coaches helped them, the community helped them, their parents helped them, their teammates helped them. There was a common theme of work, community, and success.”
