David Roby, Twin Cedars High School Principal, was a nominee for the 2023 Iowa Secondary Principal of the Year Award. He was recently notified that he finished second for the award.

Roby has been a principal at Twin Cedars since 2001. Prior to Twin Cedars, he taught for eight years and coached for 13 years, most recently with the Corwith-Wesley-Luverne School District. Roby will be recognized at SAI’s Annual Conference in August in Des Moines.

Roby tells KNIA/KRLS News, “Twin Cedars is a very special place. Without question the thing I like the most about Twin Cedars is our kids. Our kids are second to none, love every single one of them to death.” 

He added it’s nice to be recognized for doing some great things.
