Another round of severe weather impacted south central Iowa Tuesday evening.

The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team was on the air for three severe thunderstorm warnings and a tornado warning impacting both Marion and Warren Counties from 6:10 to 8:35 p.m. and a second round of coverage continued from 8:50 until 9:30 p.m.

A confirmed tornado was on the ground from east of Milo toward Elk Rock State Park — passing by Pleasantville, and potential rotation west of Pella that may have touched down as well. Several reports of large hail in excess of two inches in diameter were also noted in southern Warren County and northern Clarke County, and additional hail impacted Pleasantville and in southern Jasper County. Golf ball sized hail was also seen in the later round of storms in northern Warren County.

Warren County residents are asked to report damage to Warren County Dispatch on Wednesday. Call 515-961-1122 and hit 0 to report.

Marion County Sheriff Jason Sandholdt tells KNIA/KRLS News there has been some property damage around Pleasantville, including two or three houses, debris on the roadway, and some damage to powerlines. No injuries have been reported.

A total of nine KNIA/KRLS staff members were on the air or supporting coverage behind the scenes and Weatherology Meteorologists provided several updates.
