Marion County Park campgrounds, Roberts Creek Park East and West campgrounds, and Cordova Park will be opening April 14, 2023.

The West boat ramp parking area, Roberts Creek Lake, and the Marion County Conservation Department is making a limited number of logs available to be cut by the public for firewood. 

The following procedures apply: Marion County, the Marion County Conservation Board and staff are not responsible for personal injury or damage to personal property to persons electing to cut firewood. All risk is assumed by the party cutting firewood.

Wood cutting equipment should be in good working order and used by an experienced individual who is knowledgeable in its operation. Proper safety equipment is required to be worn at all times by everyone in the cutting area. 

Proper safety equipment is the responsibility of each person in the cutting area. Anyone cutting logs must be 18 years of age. Cutting is on a first-come, first-served basis. Only logs on the ground are to be cut.

Logs will be cut into rounds and hauled away, no log splitting on site. Pickup Trucks Only. Do not block the access road. Be respectful to other cutters. The wood is not for resale. The purpose of this wood is for personal use.

Failure to follow the outlined procedures may result in the loss of wood cutting privileges.
