The Pella School Board approved the Fiscal Year 24 budget at their meeting Monday. A public hearing was scheduled to finalize the property tax rate, which will be maintained at $14.60 per $1,000 of valuation. The board received an update about ongoing construction at the Early Childhood Center and approved summer projects for technology, transportation, and maintenance with use of Physical Plant and Equipment Levy and Secure an Advanced Vision for Education revenues. Also on the agenda was the board director redistricting plan and a review of the schedule for high school principal interviews with two finalists: Pella Middle School Principal Josh Manning and Shawn Zanders from Greene County.
