Eagles Boys Track and Field 3rd, Girls 5th at Home Invitational
Hosting the P.C. Invitational Tuesday night, the Pella Christian boys track and field team came in third place with 102.5 points, while the girls squad finished in fifth place with 74 points.

Pella Christian Boys Golf Builds Sizeable Lead After First Leg of LHC Meet
The Pella Christian boys golf team continued their excellent start to the season Tuesday, grabbing a 19-stroke lead after the first leg of the Little Hawkeye Conference meet in Oskaloosa.
The Eagles shot a 304 on the day to grab a sizeable lead on second place Pella, who posted a 323. Eliot Menninga accomplished a rare feat at Edmundson Golf Course, claiming Pella Christian’s first sub-70 round since 2001 with a one under par 69. Isaiah Breems carded a 77 in meet, with Deacon Branderhorst and Cooper Spronk not far behind posting a 79 and 80 respectively. Dane Geetings and Landon Fransman rounded out the scoring for Pella Christian, as Geetings scored an 84 and Fransman posted an 85.
The Eagles boys golf team continues their campaign on Friday and Saturday, competing in the Pella Invitational at Bos Landen Golf Course and at the Pella Country Club.

Pella Christian Soccer Teams Fall to Norwalk
The Pella Christian girls soccer team struggle down the stretch at home against Norwalk in a 4-1 loss, while the Class 1A #13 ranked Eagles boys soccer team also fell to Norwalk in a 5-0 road loss.
In the girls match, Norwalk jumped in from 1-0 in the 11th minute. Pella Christian responded in the 26th minute, when Lexi Terpstra netted her second goal of the season to tie the contest at 1-1, and that score held into halftime. After the break, Norwalk reclaimed the lead and added insurance, scoring three goals in a six minute span to drop the Eagles to 3-2-1 on the season.
The Pella Christian boys had chances to get on the scoreboard against the host Warriors but couldn’t convert on their opportunities in the loss. Norwalk held a 3-0 advantage over Pella Christian at halftime, before connecting for two more goals in the second half to secure the win. The Eagles record fell to 2-2 on the season.
Both the Pella Christian soccer teams have the rest of the week off, returning to the pitch Monday. The Eagle boys host West Marshall, while the girls travel to Class 2A #1 ranked Dallas Center-Grimes.

Eagles Girls Tennis Dominates Newton, Boys Tennis Goes 2-0 at Newton Triangular
The Pella Christian girls tennis team dominated Newton in a 10-1 win Tuesday, while the Eagle boys went 2-0 at the Newton Triangular meet.
The Pella Christian girls cruised throughout most of their match against the Cardinals. The Eagles swept all six singles matches and finished off the win by taking four of the five doubles matches, with the lone loss in doubles coming in a tiebreaker set in the #5 spot in the lineup. The Pella Christian girls improved to 3-0 on the spring and have tonight off, before returning to the court on Thursday at home versus Saydel.
In their triangular at Newton, the Eagle boys defeated both the host Cardinals and Nevada by an identical 7-4 score. Pella Christian won four singles matches in both contests, and claimed wins in three of the five doubles matches against both teams. Isaac Natelborg and Toby Vander Molen posted 4-0 marks between their singles and doubles match for the Eagles on the night. The Pella Christian boys improved to 4-1 on the season and are off until Monday when they travel to Davis County.
