The Twin Cedars Track and Field Squads will head their separate ways tomorrow as the girls head to the Horton Relays in Pekin while the boys are at the Neil Goos Invitational at Clarke. Girls Coach Cam Parker tells KNIA/KRLS Sports this is a busy time of the season and hopes his girls are up to the challenge.
Parker: “Week in and week out we get really busy. That Melcher meet is full of conference teams so we get a preview of what the conference holds and just hope we can compete and get some medals.”
It has essentially been the Rylee Dunkin Show as she scored 30 of the team’s 40 points Tuesday night at Madrid to finish 5th overall. For the boys, they brought home a 3rd place from the 4×800 meter relay and finished 18th overall. Both events are set to begin at 4:30.
