The PCM boys and girls golf teams begin a busy week Monday, while the boys soccer team hosts Knoxville.
The Mustang boys golfers head to State Center Monday afternoon to compete in the West Marshall tournament at Lincoln Valley Golf Course. Meanwhile, the PCM girls compete in a quad with Pella, Knoxville, and Pleasantville at Pella Country Club. With four matches this week, Mustangs head girls golf coach Dylan Dunn says he’s encouraging the team to stay relaxed during the busy week.
“This weekend I told them to get rested up, I know a lot of them have some other things going on, but definitely just trying to get rested up as possible. And then I do whatever I can to coach to kind of try to keep all that pressure and all the stuff going on and trying to take their mind off some things a little bit.”
Meanwhile back in Monroe, the PCM boys soccer team is looking to build on Friday night’s 7-2 win over Sigourney. The Mustangs face a Knoxville squad that is coming off a 3-0 loss to Southeast Polk on Saturday.
The PCM boys golf team competes in State Center at 2 p.m., while the girls golf quad in Pella begins at 4 p.m. The Mustangs home boys soccer game against Knoxville wraps up Monday’s action at 5:30 p.m.
