The Knoxville Boys Golf Squad snuck by Van Meter on Tuesday night 156-158. Evan Smith led the Panthers with a 38 while Kail Arkema and Carson Uitermarkt scored 39s, Beau Leisure carded a 40 and Noah Keefer and Brady Roozeboom scored 43s. Coach Barry Smith tells KNIA/KRLS Sports he has scheduled a few out of the box meets this year, just to get the guys used to playing a different course and more 18 hole meets.

Smith: “This gives us an opportunity to go to Atlantic and Dennison in the mix. We’re really mixing it up this year to give the boys a look at the grind of 18 hole tournaments and a look at different courses.”

That Denison meet will be this Saturday at Majestic Hills Golf Course.
