Indianola Parks and Rec reworked the Disc Golf Course at Pickard Park in 2021, and has seen an influx of use over the course of 2022. The 2022 Course Report from UDisc, an app that golfers use to play the course, showed 1,273 players visiting, spending 6,884 hours playing, and 803 players visiting for the first time. The report also showed players from 46 states visited, along with international players from Finland, Canada, Denmark, Austria, Czechia, Germany, Norway, and the UK. The TruBank Des Moines Challenge Disc Golf Pro Tour event will be held at Pickard Park June 23-35.
