The following police departments will be taking unused or expired prescriptions, free of charge this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as part of the Drug Enforcement Agency national take back day: Pella Police Department, Knoxville Police Department, Monroe Police Department and the Carlisle Police Department.

There are permanent drop boxes throughout the region for those who can’t make the drop off date, including: Knoxville Police Department, Pella Police Department, Indianola Police Department, Hy-Vee Pharmacies (Pella, Knoxville, and Indianola), Pella Regional Pharmacy (retail), Medicap Pharmacies (both Knoxville and Indianola) and Monroe Community Pharmacy.
