Knoxville Fire Chief Cal Wyman is currently in the process of selecting a new person for his staff. The applicants tested April 4, 5 and 6 with results back the following week.

Wyman tells KNIA/KRLS News, “We ended up with I think seven applications, but only two have the required qualifacations.”

According to Wyman their department has already done background, reference and certification checks. The next step in the process are the interviews which look to be done this week.
