Monday marks an unusually quiet spring sports day on Eagle Lane, as the Pella Christian boys golf team is set to be the only team in action.

The Eagles boys golfers compete against Bondurant-Farrar, Boone, Chariton, Des Moines Christian, Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, Grinnell, Keota, and PCM at Gateway Recreation Golf Course in the PCM Invitational. While Pella Christian has found success leading up to Monday’s meet, junior Isaiah Breems says the team can’t get complacent with what has already been accomplished.

“We’ve shown what we can do, so now we need to build on that and keep getting better. And we’ve shown we can win golf meets, so why can’t we win multiple more?”

The PCM Invitational in Monroe begins at 1 p.m. on Monday for the Eagles boys golf team.
