PCM Girls Track and Field Dominates Home Invitational

The PCM girls track and field team dominated their home invitational Monday night, scoring 213 points as a team while outscoring second place West Marshall by more than 100 points.

Winning events for the Mustang girls in the meet were:

100 Meter Hurdles – Morgan Karr (16.44)

3000 Meter – Abi Teeter (11:58.88)

High Jump – Ayla Barrett (5’0”)

Shot Put – Rylee Gallaher (36’2”)

4×200 Meter Relay – Stella Stravers, Ryan Bennett, Addison Shannon, Lillian Humpal (1:58.19)

4×400 Meter Relay – Paiten Rumbaugh, Sophia Steenhoek, Claire VanWyk, Elle Davis (4:36.79)

4×800 Meter Relay – Addison Steenhoek, Paige Steenhoek, Tiffani Koonce, Abi Teeter (1:58.19)

Shuttle Hurdle Relay – Kylie Tuller, Jorja Teeter, Lillian Humpal, Morgan Karr (1:11.37)

PCM Boys Golf Takes Title at Home Invitational, Girls Golf 4th at Charger Invite

Hosting the PCM Invitational, the Mustangs boys golf team retained the team title after shooting a 319. Meanwhile at Chariton’s Charger Invite, the PCM girls golfers came in fourth place after posting a 438.

Grant Van Veen led the Mustang boys golfers to their first-place finish, coming in third place individually with a 77. Nick Farver followed Van Veen with a 78 to take fourth place as an individual. Rounding out the scoring for the PCM boys golf squad was Easton Van Veen and Jeffrey McDanel, each posting an 18-hole round of 82.

Helping the Mustangs girls golfers to a fourth-place finish at Chariton, were Eleigh Davis and Riley Johannes tying for the team’s lowest round at 105. Gretchen Uitermarkt wasn’t far behind Davis and Johannes, posting a 107 in the meet. Brelee Berger rounded out the scoring for PCM by shooting a 121.

Both of the PCM golf teams return to the course on Thursday. The Mustangs boys golf team next competes at the Moravia Invite at The Preserve at Honey Creek, while the PCM girls golfers host the PCM Tournament at Gateway Recreation Golf Course.
