Pella’s award winning theater troupe is trying out a new show that aims to entertain children during the busiest stretch for many in Pella. Show Directors Chris Brown and Lynn Cutler say the Union Street Players present Elephant & Piggie’s “We are in a Play!” for eight total shows April 27th through the 30th and again during Tulip Time weekend May 4th through May 7th in the Pella Community Center. Both say the show is tailored for young children and their families, and is based on the Elephant & Piggie books written by Mo Willems — with seven of the performances highlighted during afternoon matinees and lasting approximately one hour.
