This week, Tulip Time returns to Pella, and several closures begin today and continue to add between now and the three-day festival. Tulip Time Steering Committee Co-Chair Joel Bennett says traveling through the community–primarily downtown and on the main business corridors, will become more difficult as more roads are blocked off and participants in the festival set up. Bennett asks for patience throughout the week, especially with significant crowds of visitors anticipated with a great weather forecast on the horizon and the amount of flowers still in bloom. Additionally, those traveling from the south are reminded that the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Red Rock have closed Highway T-15 over the Red Rock Dam for repairs, but Pella can still be accessed from Highway 14 north to G-28 east or from Highway 92 east to T-17 north.
