A local group of gardeners is celebrating a milestone this year. The Pella Garden Club has been working on beautification projects in the community for six decades.
Janna Boyd and Marlyn Reitveld-Ebbers have been a part of the organization for the majority of its existence, and both say gardening remains a passion of theirs to this day. They are also seeking new members to carry on the tradition, and there are monthly events to celebrate their 60th anniversary this year.
During Tulip Time, the Pella Garden Club has a competitive showcase of flower designs in the Scholte House this Thursday through Saturday, where anyone who wants new tulip bulbs for fall planting can also make orders as part of an annual fundraiser. Click here to see the order form.
