An annual tradition is set to return to Pella for the 30th year. Jim Hibma with Crossroads of Pella says the Klompen Classic 5K is coming back today. He says the race not only supports the programming at Crossroads of Pella, but also serves as a community kick off to Tulip Time festivities, with an average of 2,000 participants racing annually for the past several years. There is a kids classic for children 10 and younger at 5:30 p.m. along Union Street, followed by the main event that starts on West 1st Street and ends at the Pella Community Center.
