Warren County Health Services has released tips to help avoid diabetes, for those at a high-risk of developing diabetes or those who are looking to prevent developing the condition. The American Diabetes Association recommends that people with prediabetes lose at least 7% to 10% of their body weight to prevent disease progression, with more weight loss translating into even greater benefits. Other tips include eating healthy plant and fiber rich foods, being physically active, eat healthy fats in moderation, and to skip fad diets and make healthier choices overall.
