On March 30, a Pella man was charged with a felony, a serious misdemeanor and an aggravated misdemeanor.

Marion County Deputies drove into the Red Rock Lake Marina and observed a vehicle with no lights on. The deputies observed a man identified as Dustin Jon Stevens, 43, of Pella, sit up in the vehicle. Officers report Stevens having blood shot and glassy or watery eyes. Deputies reported smelling marijuana from the vehicle.

After searching the vehicle officers located 98.1 grams of marijuana, three glass pipes used for smoking marijuana a red marijuana grinder and a handgun.

Stevens was charged with a felony, failure to affix a drug stamp. He was also charged with a serious misdemeanor, person ineligible to carry dangerous weapons and an aggravated charge for possession of a controlled substance marijuana third or subsequent offense.
