The Indianola Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center will open for the season on June 3rd, after scheduled maintenance and filling the pool is completed. Kathy Kester with Indianola Parks and Rec tells KNIA News staff will begin to fill the pool in May and it takes approximately 328,000 gallons, and in-pool training will begin for staff when it is near ready.
The 2023 season will run until August 20th, with season passes still available for purchase, and the aquatic center opens Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 1-7, Tuesday/Thursday from 1-6, and Saturday/Sunday from 1-5 for daily admission without a season pass, and those age 2 and under swim free with a paid adult admission.
