The Indianola girls tennis team was at West Des Moines Valley for Individual Regionals Wednesday. The doubles duo of Keely Greubel and Brynn Bishop had the top results for the Indians as they placed third, winning their quarterfinal matchup 6-2, 6-1 after a first round bye, but falling to the eventual champions from WDM Valley. After falling behind in the third-place match in a 7-5 set loss, the duo came back to win the next two sets 6-2, 10-2.
The duo of Ceris Askelson and Audra Dowler were defeated in the first round of the doubles play. Both Emily Allen and Zoey Belt won their first round singles play matches, Allen with a 7-5, 6-1 win and Belt dominating 6-1, 6-2, before both athletes falling in the quarterfinal round.
The Indians will have team regional action on Saturday hosting Southeast Polk.

Indianola Track Teams Travel to Norwalk
The Indianola boys and girls track and field teams travel to a loaded class 4A qualifying site at Little Hawkeye Conference rival Norwalk tonight, facing off against some of the top teams in the area looking for a top two finish.
For the Indians boys who currently sit in or near the top two at the event include Jonce Hale and Eli Fox in the 100m Dash, Logan Piper sits in first in both the 110m and 400m Hurdles, Bennett Brueck has the top High Jump clearance, and Owen Cambron has the longest discus throw. The Indians 4x400m and Distance Medley relay teams are also within striking distance.
On the girls side, Josie McGraw has the second fastest time in the 100m Hurdles, Kendall McDaniel has the second longest Shot Put throw, while Abbie Kluver has the longest discus throw by a large margin. On the relay side, the Shuttle Hurdle team has the second fastest time.
The top two finishers in each event automatically qualify for state, with 12 at-large bids across the six district qualifying sites. Action starts at 4pm.
