A pair of students recognized by the Three Rivers Reading Council in their annual writing contest advanced to state. Seventh Grader Jenna Beyer placed 1st and Sixth Grader Emmerich Olin was a runner-up for their written works that won local prizes earlier this year. Beyer’s poem “Bravery” and Olin’s short story “Heat Waves” were among many written pieces the duo have worked on this year.
